Sails

Air Yacht 80 uses North Sails’ 3Di sails. North 3Di sails are engineered to minimum weight and maximum performance. By eliminating the use of Mylar, 3Di will not delaminate. Each 3Di sail is precisely shaped on full-sized moulds and built to outlast your adventure.

Deck & Rigging Gear

Air Yacht 80’s rigging is expertly designed by Rigging Projects, a leading rigging company that provides unbiased advice to customers to make informed and clear choices from suppliers and OEM products.

Deck pad-eyes are made from titanium for their strength and more reliability, and to reduce maintenance. Other bespoke parts, such as the head board cars, gaff lock and bullet locks, give the short-handed sailor comfort that the best parts available round out his spar pack.

Rigging Standing

The performance, durability and reliability of ECsix Carbon Rigging make ECsix cables the ultimate rigging product for yachts of all sizes. ECsix has been proven at all levels of yachting – from the Volvo Ocean Race and IMOCA 60s to TP52s and Mini Maxis through to the world’s largest superyachts. It is 70% lighter than nitronic rod rigging, which dramatically reduces the weight of the yacht. This increases the righting moment and reduces fore-aft pitching when sailing, dramatically increasing your sailing performance. Reducing weight aloft also minimises rolling at anchor, making life aboard more comfortable. ECsix cables are also 50% stronger than leading alternatives. This makes them ultra-reliable: they will even perform with up to 25% rods damaged.
